Ui Designer Jobs

At Idera we are on a mission: to provide tools that help our customers view and understand their data more quickly and easily. We are looking for an experienced and talented UI Designer with strong interaction design skills and a strong desire to learn user experience. As the UI Designer, you will help the UX design team design and shape unique, user-centric products and experiences. You may observe and take on some small user experience research and testing tasks. You will work with innovative and dedicated UX designers, product managers and developers focused on creating software for our users that is powerful, feature-rich, yet easy to use.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and intelligently iterate designs, adjusting to technical requirements, and incorporating usability findings into the designs.
• Design and develop style guides, key interactions, wireframes, user flows, mockups, visual design comps, interactive prototypes, user interface design specifications and other design assets such as icons and ui kit stencils.
• Be a great team player, experienced in working with agile teams. Ability to collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers and developers.
• Ensure every page, every step and every interaction a user will experience using IDERA tools will conform to the overall company branding, product style guides and vision created by UX designers.

Must Haves

• Comfortable working remote while collaborating with global remote product teams.
• A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, best practices, and usability principles, interaction design and accessibility concerns.
• Superior understanding of design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)
• Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
• Three or more years of experience and proven track record.
• Experience using tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, InVision, Inspect and Zeplin.
• Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during interview.
• Be open to receiving objective criticism and improving upon it.
• Organized and proactive with exceptional attention to details. You’re more than capable of juggling multiple tasks and assignments at once.
• Experience using style guides, common component libraries and Sketch libraries.
• Some basic understanding of front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3 Javascript.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing for enterprise applications and/or developer tools with data-intensive UI’s.
• Experience working in waterfall and Agile development cycles.
