About the role:

• Treasury Associate will support the Treasury Officer as well as the financial reporting and accounting departments as necessary. Duties include support in forecasting cash flow, investment transactions, ALM monitoring, budgeting, and assist in performing cash transactions between internal bank accounts.

Duties and responsibilities of the job include the following (but is not limited too):

• Assist with monthly and quarterly collateral reporting to U.S. Government entities.
• Assists in development and maintenance of Treasury policies and procedures.
• Focus on automation and enhancement of key business reports and dashboards.
• Assist with gathering information to run ALM simulation software models.
• Assists in providing Treasury reports for interim and year-end audits and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and determine best practices and support Treasury projects.
• Other Treasury responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
• Performs cash and liquidity reporting as well as ad-hoc reports for senior management.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end Treasury related board reports.
• Ensure reports are accurate, comprehensive and timely, and that they provide effective and actionable information.
• Distribution of key market interest rates to senior managers.
• Assist with Bank’s annual Budget, Strategic and Capital Plans.
• Assist with investment transactions and investment portfolio reporting.

Preferred experience, education, and qualifications:

• Knowledge and understanding of banking operations including loan, deposit, general ledger, and investment processes.
• Work on ad-hoc tasks, assignments and projects as needed
• He / She must be able to work independently and have the ability to collaborate successfully with coworkers, management, and auditors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to apply advanced Excel knowledge to workflow tasks assigned to her/him.
• Ability to work independently on projects.
• Perform quality work within determined timeframes
• Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees, departments, divisions, etc.
• Interact professionally with other employees, customers, vendors and shareholders
• 3-5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting in the banking industry, preferably in community banks.
• Must be detail-oriented and focused on accuracy and timeliness of projects
• Knowledge and understanding of banking operations including loan, deposit, general ledger, and investment processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to quickly learn and navigate new software.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance
• Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills.

Potential Salary: $84,500 - $110,000 annually

This salary range only reflects base wages and does not include benefits, bonus, or incentive pay. Salary bands are purposefully wide ranging to encompass the different factors considered in determining where a candidate falls in the range, including but not limited to, seniority, performance, experience, education, and any other legitimate, non-discriminatory factor permitted by law.
