CoLaborator, Inc. is a Chicago based startup company that is focused on building a conglomerate through Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs) and Investor Joint Ventures. Our mission is to acquire a diverse portfolio of businesses that have the potential to generate significant cash flows, and create value for our shareholders.
CoLaborator, Inc. seeks an experienced Treasurer / CFO for its team.
The ideal candidate will have had a proven track record as a CPA within a large prestigous firm like a Big 4, strategic planning, and mergers & acquisitions (LBO's in particular). Must have assisted in raising substantial amounts of capita with financial management experience. He or she will also have excellent communications & interpersonal skills, and the ability to build consensus with the board members.
Would help if the candidate had experience in the Manufacturing, Distribution, Energy & Tech industries or all if possible.
He or she should have a strong understanding of financial legislation, market trends, and financial management software.
CoLaborator, Inc. is in start-up mode and are unable to provide current compensation at this time. However, the Treasurer / CFO will be given equity and will not be asked to contribute capital.
Responsibilities
The Treasurer / CFO will provide mentorship to and work hand & hand with Founder & current CEO, Virgil Andry. Some other duties of the Treasurer / CFO shouldinclude:
Perform risk management (liquidity, interest rates, ventures etc.)
Assume responsibility for cash management procedures
Manage the company’s investment activity and make decisions
Assist in the development of financingstrategies
Maintain relations with banks and rating agencies
Provide advice in matters of corporate finance
Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures
Implementrelevant legislation and policies
Submit reports of present financial situation and forecasting
Drive the company’s financial planning
Control and evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
Supervise all finance personnel
Manage vendor relationships
Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
Qualifications
Skills:
Accounting, Finance, Venture Fundraising, Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investor Relations, Investment Management, Financial Modeling, Leveraged Buyouts, Leveraged Finance, Commercial Banking
Education:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a field of accounting. CPA currently or past experience is preferred.
Experience:
CoLaborator, Inc.'s Treasurer / CFO should have over 20 years of experience as a CPA, with work related to M&A activities. He or she should be a highly experienced person who has participated in dozens, even hundreds of business transactions over the course of their career.
The following are some examples:
Our Treasurer / CFO might be a former regional managing partner of a Big 4 or other accounting firm like: Deloitte, PWC, EY, KPMG, BDO, Grant Thornton
Retired or Ex - CFO or Board Member who has already played a pivotal part in building a billion-dollar company or billion dollars of value geometrically through acquisitions.
