Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Transcriptionist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Transcriptionist You Will

• Type medical reports from dictated and/or handwritten material
• Have excellent typing skills
• Have a good knowledge of medical terminology

Qualifications Include

• Ability to work independently as well as with others
• Ability to process paperwork to supervisor daily
• .Strong Typing Skills with accuracy
• Ability to correctly type from dictated and/or handwritten material in a timely fashion using an electronic medical record system and internet-based dictation system for a very busy practice
• Knows Medical Terminology
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Can meet productivity and deadlines

Work Schedule
part-time (24 hours/weekly) Looking for someone located in the DC, Maryland Virginia area. Wednesday-Friday 8:30am-4pm

While some jurisdictions, including Maryland, permit the use of marijuana for medical purposes, marijuana continues to be classified as an illegal drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act. As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.
Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
