Position Description


JOB TITLE: Time and Attendance Assistant – Part Time


CLASSIFICATION: Assistant 3


SALARY: $19,000 - $21,000


FLSA: Exempt


DEPARTMENT: CFO


LOCATION: Washington, DC


REPORTS TO: Director, Accounting & Database Management

Position Summary


The Time and Attendance Assistant is a part-time position. The Time and Attendance Assistant performs duties related to timesheet collection and time and attendance system training and maintenance.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


Timesheet Collection


  • Download timesheet information for integration into the payroll system
  • Complete the collection of all timesheets for bi-weekly payroll
  • Review all approved timesheets for accuracy, work with employees on corrections as necessary


Time and Attendance System Training
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all staff questions related to timesheets and time-off requests.
  • Create employee records within the time and attendance system based upon information provided by the HR Department
  • Train new employees on logging in, navigating, and completing bi-weekly timesheets and time-off requests within the time and attendance system


Time and Attendance System Maintenance
  • Update employee records in the time and attendance system (salary/status/supervisor /title/etc.) after the completion of each bi-weekly payroll
  • Maintain the payroll and holiday calendars within the time and attendance system
  • Record any necessary adjustments to employee leave accrual balances in the time and attendance system after the completion of each bi-weekly payroll

Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s (B.A./B.S.) degree or equivalent


Experience: 1 year of relevant experience


An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
