Job Description
Summary


Technical Support Employee The Strat (Las Vegas, NV) Description:


Ensures that maintenance requests are properly received, logged, and communicated to the appropriate parties. Follows up with the necessary people to make certain issues are completed in a timely manner; and communicates with department management when work order requests are not completed in a timely manner.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Provides great guest service skills to guests and fellow associates in a professional manner at all times
  • Creates, dispatches, tracks, and closes work orders in the system
  • Monitors work order statuses to ensure that all jobs are received via pagers and/or two way radios
  • Informs department management if work orders are not completed in a timely manner or to the satisfaction of the requestor
  • Receive phone requests for service and/or repairs from guests and internal departments
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Receives and dispatches all emergency information to the Engineers, Managers, and the Director of Facilities regarding life safety alarms, bomb threats, elevator entrapments, power outages, floods, etc.
  • Monitors work orders to ensure all are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the work order requestor


Requirements


Job Specifications/Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in an Engineering/Facilities environment preferred
  • Able to read written instruction and comprehend verbal instructions given in English
  • Previous dispatch experience using a work order system preferred
  • Previous experience providing outstanding guest service skills over the telephone
  • Ability to effectively communication in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a foreign language preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to speak clearly in order to communicate via telephone and two way radio


WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Communicate via radios and telephones (more than 75% of the time)
  • Walk, stand or stoop (less than 25% of the time)
  • Sit at a desk or table (more than 75% of the time)
  • Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds (less than 25% of the time)
  • Literacy, Vision and Hearing (critical)
