Summary
- Provides great guest service skills to guests and fellow associates in a professional manner at all times
- Creates, dispatches, tracks, and closes work orders in the system
- Monitors work order statuses to ensure that all jobs are received via pagers and/or two way radios
- Informs department management if work orders are not completed in a timely manner or to the satisfaction of the requestor
- Receive phone requests for service and/or repairs from guests and internal departments
- Other duties as assigned
- Receives and dispatches all emergency information to the Engineers, Managers, and the Director of Facilities regarding life safety alarms, bomb threats, elevator entrapments, power outages, floods, etc.
- Monitors work orders to ensure all are completed in a timely manner and to the satisfaction of the work order requestor
- Previous experience working in an Engineering/Facilities environment preferred
- Able to read written instruction and comprehend verbal instructions given in English
- Previous dispatch experience using a work order system preferred
- Previous experience providing outstanding guest service skills over the telephone
- Ability to effectively communication in English, both written and verbal
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to effectively communicate in a foreign language preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to speak clearly in order to communicate via telephone and two way radio
- Communicate via radios and telephones (more than 75% of the time)
- Walk, stand or stoop (less than 25% of the time)
- Sit at a desk or table (more than 75% of the time)
- Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 50 pounds (less than 25% of the time)
- Literacy, Vision and Hearing (critical)
