Summary: PayPal is seeking a Global Tax Data, Product and Technology System Solutions and Controls Leader to join the Corporate Finance team, which works directly with internal business, product, and finance groups to deliver tax /finance solutions. This role is part of the Corporate Finance organization and works as a strategic Tax advisor to help teams achieve business goals by providing solutions that include automation, data and technology considerations.

The Global Tax Data, Product and Technology System Solutions and Control leader for PayPal will oversee the tax systems strategy for Global Tax Reporting, Indirect Tax, Direct Tax and Transfer Pricing. Leading new investments in tax and automation initiatives to meet tax reporting obligations, and increase productivity by digitizing tax operations. In addition, this leader will partner with a global team of product managers, tax/finance, compliance and risk professionals, software development engineers, application analysts, and data engineers to enable effective tax risk services and efficient delivery of tax operations.

This position will provide project leadership, oversight of finance team members and internal partners, and support key tax system and data related initiatives, that are part of the Finance Transformation annual plan to deliver outcomes that promote efficiency, return on project investments and expense savings that are in compliance with PayPal’s global statutory and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of the execution and oversight of effective Tax system risk management activities within Finance with key responsibilities:

• Ability to architect and implement effective tax system strategies to meet current and future business needs
• Skilled in documenting tax technology requirements that are engineering ready
• Serve as liaison with internal technology, engineering, product, and risk/compliance stakeholders to support Enterprise initiatives and to develop support for tax technology initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate long-term relationships with broad sets of partners and colleagues
• Support the tax technology risk assessment for new product activities
• Take direct accountability for managing all tax technology vendors and the affiliated systems and subscription services
• Supports Tax business & technology run the business and key initiatives including prioritization, planning, budgeting coordination, and execution
• Perform periodic analysis of current tax technology capabilities and maintain a multi-year roadmap to drive scale and efficiency
• Provide support for data, technology, and product solutions to identify sustainable tax capabilities and tax operations
• Utilize a data-driven approach to demonstrate the current system capabilities and easily aggregate and analyze complex information into a concise, clear summary for your audience
• Coordinate and influence the identification of transformation opportunities across the tax ecosystem to drive focus on the highest organizational priorities
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, balance multiple projects, and focus efforts on key priorities

• Strong understanding of product development lifecycle

The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $118700 to $246290
