Tax Clerk Jobs

The Tax Clerk is generally responsible for performing administrative duties, including but not limited to traditional secretarial functions and office supervisory activities. The Tax Clerk will have assignments that on occasion will be complex and confidential; therefore, should be able to apply advanced computer and process skills.
Responsibilities

• Maintain list of tax consultant/service provider contracts and payment of invoices.
• Coordinate meetings and office communications.
• Other administrative duties.
• Actively monitor various tax calendars for monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
• Gather, sort, and deliver incoming mail within the tax department.
• Schedule conference rooms, audio/visual equipment and other materials as requested.
• Assistant in preparation of outgoing mail/tax returns.
• The perfect candidate will ultimately be assigned lower-level tax returns to complete.
• Process tax payments for federal income, state income, and state sales & use tax.

Experience & Education

• PowerPoint
• High School diploma required.
• Some administrative support desired.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite:
• Excel
• Word
• Some college preferred.
