Job Description
Bluestem Center for Autism is an innovative ABA clinic in search of administrative and behavioral health professionals.
We are seeking a remote Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team! As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will have the opportunity to gain experience recruiting staff to work with children, adolescence, and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related diagnoses. The Talent Acquisition Specialist should be skilled at building networks, be confident & coachable, have a professional phone/virtual presence, and be flexible working in a dynamic fast-paced environment aimed at identifying key talent to help provide critical solutions for our clinical teams.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist's primary focus is on clinical recruiting. In order to deliver the best possible care to our clients, we need exceptional clinicians to join our team. This candidate will play an integral role in sourcing new team members to allow us to serve more clients in more geographies. Bluestem Center for Autism is growing quickly. We are looking for a candidate who is able to work efficiently and independently.
Our client services include high-quality, evidence-based interventions called Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. As an organization, we also work closely with mental health professionals such as social workers and/or therapists. As the Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS), you will be responsible for:
Recruitment
  • Commitment to meeting project deadlines and communicating progress proactively
  • Develop and maintain relationships with candidates to keep an ongoing pipeline
  • Manages job posting requisition process, creates and maintains job templates, conducts reference checks and pre post-employment background checks
  • Be creative-identify new ways to source candidates and identify key clinical networks to broaden the applicant pool
  • Research, determine, and utilize different avenues to source passive candidates.
  • Document all candidate activity during the candidate process
  • Actively seeks, builds, and utilizes partnerships with academic institutions.
  • Attends job fairs, college presentations, and other recruitment events, virtual and potentially in-person.
  • Maintain current staff list and current recruitment needs based on client intake
  • Implements recruitment procedures to meet current and future staffing demands for clinical teams in Minnesota and California.
  • Maintains open job postings and ensures open positions are current in ATS ApplicantPro /Paylocity
  • Establishes, builds, and maintains positive and professional relationships with all staff through recruitment, hire, and during their employment.
  • Recruits and engages candidates throughout the interview process.
  • Schedules and conducts interviews with candidates. I think this role should screen candidates, at minimum.
  • Recommend qualified candidates to hiring manager
  • Seeks opportunities to improve overall recruitment and staffing procedures
  • Sends interview follow up and rejection letters.
  • Manage ATS and all internal job postings, implementing best practices and monitoring daily
  • Work closely with leadership team and hiring managers to fully understand requirements and needs
  • Proactively identify, source screen and recruit candidates using a variety of sources including cold calling, job boards, research, internet sourcing, social media, referrals, etc.
  • Accountable for creating pipelines and managing relationships with pipeline candidates.
  • Manage incoming applications and evaluate candidate resumes against position requirements
  • Research and utilize additional advertisements through various online platforms and creative sources
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience
  • Networks with candidates outside of the organization to build a pipeline.
Onboarding/Administrative
  • Answers and routes responses from candidates regarding hiring status
  • Extend offers of employment, initiate the hiring process, and support the candidate & hiring team until the first day of employment when the onboarding process and background check are complete
  • Ensure compliance standards are met for paperwork required by state and commercial funders
  • Ensure candidate is scheduled for first day of employment and coordinate onboarding schedule for first day with necessary leadership, team members
  • Assist in creating and updating job descriptions.
  • Set up staff members in multiple electronic medical systems
  • Manage new hire cohorts, including onboarding paperwork, EIDBI credentialing paperwork, NPI registration, orientation sessions
  • Assist with new hire training schedules
  • Maintain organization of all client and personnel related data during interview and onboarding process
  • Ensure candidate completes background check process prior to beginning employment
  • Responsible for performing all on-boarding procedures for all positions including sending the contingent offer letter
Minimum Qualifications
  • Prior experience in talent acquisition is required
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Experience in healthcare field is required
  • Experience with sourcing and candidate management is preferred
  • Utilize technology such as iPads, printers and scanners, online databases, and more to complete tasks
  • Experience in or understanding of Behavior Analysis and Mental Health field preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, Psychology or related field required (or combination of education and experience)
  • Strong project management skills, with a demonstrable ability to corral and manage details in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Intermediate technical/computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Office, external recruitment boards
