What You'll Be Doing


This position is 95-98% remote.


Wake County Government is searching for a skilled Talent Acquisition Consultant who can contribute to our team by bringing creative solutions that transform the way we recruit.

In this role, you will help shape department managers recruitment strategies and develop robust candidate pipelines. Your unique perspective and sourcing expertise can shape the future of local government recruitment that impact Wake County communities.


The Day-to-day


  • Build talent pipelines and deploy innovative strategies to recruit the best and brightest talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers on the recruitment process from job postings to offer letters.


For positions with a remote work option, all Wake County Government remote workers must reside in one of the following states or districts: North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.


About Our Team


Through strategic partnership with County leadership, the Human Resources Department provides collaborative, innovative human resource programs and services that are customer-driven and results-oriented. With 65 full-time employees and an annual operating and benefits budget of $72.1 million, the Human Resources Department manages a variety of services, including: Benefits Administration; Employee Wellness; Recruitment, Classification and Compensation; Employee Relations and Staff Development; Payroll; and HR Systems.


The Basics (Required Education And Experience)


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field and 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, position marketing and candidate sourcing OR
  • A High School Diploma and 7 years direct experience in talent acquisition, position marketing and candidate sourcing.
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)


  • Experience recruiting within a variety of job titles/industries
How Will We Know You're 'The One'?


  • Awareness of industry trends, market shifts, and changes in recruitment methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using sourcing tools and techniques to identify and attract potential candidates.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:15 pm


Hiring Range: $64,971 - $87,712
