Position Summary

The UNM Information Technologies Academic Technologies Learning Environments Team seeks a Systems Network Analyst 3 to play a vital role in supporting the IT and Instructional Technologies in all learning environments that support the academic, administrative, and research missions of the University of New Mexico. This team supports the centrally scheduled classrooms, computer labs, and many departmental classrooms, conference rooms, and research labs. This position will be critical as the Learning Environments Team designs new learning spaces and develops support models for the University’s Colleges and Schools, departments, and branch campuses.
The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of technical and interpersonal communication skills, including but not limited to in-depth knowledge of audio-visual systems, Windows and Mac operating systems, networking, and remote management and assistance tools. This role will be widely responsible for working with departments to analyze their instructional technology needs, designing, installing, and maintaining most of the University’s learning environments, and supporting the faculty, staff, and students that use them. The successful candidate will work closely with the UNM Information Technologies Networking team to design and support various audio-visual virtual networks and provide systems support for the team’s Active Directory environment and Crestron Fusion RV infrastructure.

Manages a team of students to provide enterprise support for the main campus learning environments; including classrooms, computer classrooms/labs and conference rooms.
Work will be guided on a day-to-day basis via the University’s Help.UNM ticketing systems with overall projects and guidance from the team’s manager of Core IT Services in conjunction with the Associate Director for Academic Technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications

Cisco Certified Network Associate (obtain within 1 year of hire)
Crestron DigitalMedia Certified Engineer – 4K (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Crestron Fusion Certified Technician (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Crestron Fusion Certified Programmer (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
