Job Summary:

The Linux Systems Administrator works under general supervision to plan, design, sustain, and performance-tune Linux Systems across the organization. This individual is also responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures to ensure provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company and client goals and objectives.

Additional responsibilities include windows administration, trouble ticket escalation, implementing solutions per a design document, occasional design work, and documentation of design plans.

Essential Functions:

• Adhere to SLA's regarding systems
• Proactive monitoring using available tool sets
• Ability to collaborate with clients and internal team members
• Resolve customer issues in a timely manner that generates the company’s brand loyalty
• Perform work that is complex & varied
• Recommend systems, hardware, software, upgrades, and patches
• Manage Maintain and Troubleshoot Linux, Windows, and VMware systems
• Incident response including system/environment reviews and root cause analysis
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot Active Directory group policies, login scripts, DNS and DHCP
• Develop integrated solutions to resolve complex technical and business issues
• Provide guidance and documentation for customers following best practice principles
• Installing & Configuring Server Hardware/Operating System

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Through understanding of system, storage architecture design techniques, theories, and practices
• Willingness to grow/improve current skill as well as gain additional knowledge and skills
• Effective oral and written communications and the ability to communicate with people on all levels of the organization
• Process Documentation Creation
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to interact with staff and customers in a professional environment
• Experience working in a team environment
• Advanced Understanding of Virtualization technologies – VMWare
• Active Directory - User Account Creation / Group Policy Management
• 5+ years of experience are required
• Analytical and problem analysis experience
• Ability to identify key issues and to think creatively and strategically in facing internal and external challenges
• Understanding of LAN and WAN configuration and management
• Effective leadership and the ability to coach mentor and motivate a staff of business and technical professionals
• Strong background with Linux Redhat Server Operating Systems

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Occasional night and weekend work is required
• Occasional travel is required
• On-Call rotation
