Position Summary:

ABSC is seeking an Linux Administrator with a Top Secret clearance supporting an exciting mission with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), located in Dahlgren, VA. In this role you will be providing engineering tools, services, and support to improve efficiency in the development, management, and delivery of tools, data, information, and knowledge base to a wide range of customers, including the DoN, DA, DAF, USMC, and USCG. You’ll be focusing on the design, development, sustainment, and enhancement of web-based applications, systems engineering tool environments, and the infrastructures supporting those environments as NSERC continues to deliver secure cloud services that support the warfighter mission. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Incorporate any required or applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy workflow activity libraries and other development technologies such as, .NET applications, .NET Core, JAVA, PHP, Perl, C#.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services, XML, AJAX, and SOAP hosted on Linux or Windows systems.
• Maintain existing and develop new Installation/Migration Instructions and Delivery Cutover Plans for review and approval.
• Develop, test, stage for deployment, integrate, customize, and sustain web applications required to manage engineering data related to SE activities.
• Use the Agile/SCRUM software development process when applicable. The backlog, backlog grooming, and sprint wrap-up reports shall be documented.
• Maintain all existing and new software code in Government furnished Software Configurations Management (SCM) solutions.
• Provide architecture, design and system operational support (SOP) documentation for all web applications. SOPs shall include deployment, test, troubleshooting and support procedures.
• Maintain all existing web applications using existing code base.

Desired Experience for this Role:

• Two (2) years’ experience performing system backups, failovers and restores in a
• Five (5) years' experience installing, patching, monitoring and supporting Linux servers in virtualized, enterprise environment.
• Three (3) years' experience in analyzing system security vulnerabilities and remediation.

VMWare/SAN storage environment.

• Knowledge and comprehension of secure build techniques, tools and practices of DISA
• Two (2) years’ experience with O/S monitoring software.
• Two (2) years’ experience with Linux scripting languages.
• Knowledge of multiple IT environments including server and cloud-based platforms.
• Experience designing, implementing, and administering systems in a cloud environment using laaS and PaaS.
• Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG). Experience with disaster recovery and Continuity of Operations (COOP).
• One (1) year of networking principles and applications / technologies (e.g., TCP / UDP protocols, DNS, DHCP services).

Desired Education for this Role:

• Maintain a Linux+ or Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification.
• Per DoD Directive 8570.1M or successor, this position requires IAM Level II (or equivalent) or higher.
• Bachelor's Degree
