Summary Of Position


Detail oriented, process driven, and experienced Supply Chain Planner required to play a key role within the Supply Chain planning department. This role will be responsible for planning, scheduling and managing materials and components to enable successful delivery of the finished good production plan. The role will support customer service and cost, by owning inventory coverage and executing orders of externally sourced goods to deliver optimum stock levels.


In addition, this role manages all aspects of supplier performance in a highly complex, innovative and dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, analytical, and influencing skills; along with strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems. They must be able to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Principle Accountabilities


  • Monitor open orders and shipments of materials, packaging and finished goods to ensure that goods come in on time and in full: resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
  • Ensure that the Supply Chain has the necessary capacities and capabilities to produce the innovations for all assigned sourcing sites.
  • Maintain supplier and item data integrity, such as vendor lead time, MOQ, Min/Max Inventory targets.
  • Manage excess & obsolete inventory. Optimize inventory to drive improved turns.
  • Manage supplier performance KPI’s and supplier contact strategy (daily, weekly, monthly processes, ways of working and reporting).
  • Accountable for service metrics for all assigned items. Complete root cause analysis and mitigation plans for any supply gaps.
  • Review MRP outputs to ensure optimal replenishment plans are created for service, cost and inventory – planned orders, expedites, de-expedites, cancels, etc.
  • Business partner processes cross-functionally and be instrumental in the category’s ability to launch key innovations to market on time and in full
  • Work with cross functional teams to resolve obstacles impacting schedule adherence; including the resolution of issues with non-conforming material, specifications or vendor capacity constraints.
  • Co-lead risk assessments, and make sure action plans are embedded in the project timeline
  • Maximize cost saving opportunities by monitoring order volumes and frequency patterns.
  • Manage the ordering of new product launch items for assigned brands. As well as ordering sufficient inventory for pipeline replenishment.
  • Collaborate with sales teams and factories to determine target launch safety stock levels and agree agile replenishment strategies and scenario plans

Required Skills & Experience


  • Strong system skills MRP, ERP, (Netsuite preferred), Excel.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills - written and verbal, and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fact pace environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or work equivalent experience.
  • Must be analytical, possess strong numeric aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain and planning logic in cosmetics, personal care, and CPG
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a strong attention to detail.


Travel Requirements


  • Travel to offsite meetings as needed. 5%

Additional Information


FORMA Brands takes a market-based approach to pay, and amounts will vary depending on your geographic location. The salary range reflected here is for positions based in the Greater Los Angeles area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future without notice.


Compensation Range: $90,000 - $105,000
