The Role

The purpose of the Supply Chain Manager is to manage our end-to-end supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will lead our procurement, logistics, and inventory management functions and develop strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction. The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to ensure a seamless supply chain and drive the success of our manufacturing processes.
The main job responsibilities will include:
  • Lead and manage the logistics team responsible for inbound and outbound shipments, customs compliance, and transportation planning
  • Oversee Purchasing, Logistics, and inventory management functions to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials, finished goods, and services
  • Own the consolidated spend and constantly look for cost saving opportunities. Spearhead projects to run these bottom-line initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and maintain inventory management systems and procedures to ensure accurate inventory levels, minimize stock-outs, and reduce excess inventory
  • Improve the purchasing processes and tools, reduce the non-added value tasks for the department and increase digitalization.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to forecast future demand and ensure that purchases are made in accordance with production schedules and inventory levels.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures that align with Atlas Copco's overall goals and objectives
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure optimal pricing, quality, and delivery terms
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
  • Manage the supplier selection process and evaluate supplier performance on a regular basis
  • Manage relationships with key customers and suppliers to ensure effective communication, coordination, and issue resolution
  • Manage the purchasing process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • Analyze data and trends to develop actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of supply chain operations

What we expect of you?
Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a team of professionals.
  • Track record of success in optimizing supply chain operations, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with supply chain management software and technologies, such as SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making.
  • 5+ years of supply chain management in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with inventory management and logistics software and technologies, is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant field.
