Supply Chain Manager
Our client, an Automotive supplier serving various OEMs, is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Manager to join their team in West Virginia. This role is pivotal in managing the supply chain processes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. If you have a strong background in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, Production Control, or Materials Management, and are ready to take on a challenging role in the automotive manufacturing industry, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting: Handle changes in forecasts and Bill of Materials (BOM) using MS Excel to maintain accurate production plans.
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Champion innovative ideas and breakthrough solutions to enhance supply chain processes. Empower the team to think bigger and bolder to generate new ideas.
- Supply Chain Planning: Manage the supply chain planning process, including MRP systems, customer EDI, and production schedules. Ensure that production schedules are aligned with customer demands and manufacturing capabilities.
- Vendor Relations and Logistics: Work closely with vendors to monitor inventory, manage deliveries, and address discrepancies in warehouse systems, purchasing, and supply chain operations. Manage 3rd party logistics companies to ensure efficient transportation and distribution.
- Inventory Management: Oversee all aspects of inventory management, including production scheduling, planning, and procurement while maintaining inventory at optimum levels. Collaborate closely with vendors to monitor inventory levels, manage deliveries, and address discrepancies.
- Quality Assurance: Support IATF certification efforts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Experience Level:
- Experience in Materials Management and Scheduling required for Motor Vehicle / Automotive Manufacturing or Manufacturing Plant/Warehouse (Planners/Schedulers).
- Master's degree (MBA or other) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Demand Planning, Production Control, or Materials Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management-related field preferred.
- Strong professional attributes, including effective communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in inventory/warehouse management and control capabilities.
