Job Description

SkyWater is partnering with a leading transportation equipment manufacturer in northeast Iowa. They’ve been in business for over 50 years and are looking for a Supply Chain Manager that will be a beneficial leader with proven success overseeing the procurement, logistics, materials management, and overall supply chain operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinates materials and identifies current and upcoming material availability by analyzing the market and delivery conditions, and as necessary, creates market analysis reports
  • Works cross functionally with all levels of management/staff
  • Builds trusting relationships with the supply base and shares forecast information to secure capacity and guarantee supply continuity
  • Monitors the timely/accurate performance of the engineering and manufacturing teams to maximize production efficiencies
  • Ensure that material teams are proficient so that materials are delivered on schedule
  • Maximizes material handling, distribution strategy, and purchasing amounts while preserving the quality of the goods/packaging
  • Identify strategic sourcing and buying initiatives

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • 3+ years of supply chain leadership experience in manufacturing
  • Create and maintain strategic working partnerships
  • Lean/Six Sigma
