Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) has just begun recruitment efforts for a Supply Chain Manager. This is an on-site role that will be based out of our Mason City, Iowa manufacturing facility.
ASSA ABLOY is a global leader in opening access solutions. Our Group focuses on the manufacturing of steel doors and frames within the commercial market catering to such industries as hospitality, healthcare, aerospace, defense, sporting venues and education.
What would you do as our Supply Chain Manager?
You will o wn the overall supply chain operations function and constantly look for ways to innovate and improve . Specifically in the areas of freight, purchasing and materials management.
You will also:
  • Lead and develop cost extraction projects.
  • Assures compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Maintain required quantit ies of supplies and materials to optimize production.
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality , delivery , and pricing. Identify new suppliers if needed.
  • Actively participates in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Develop and implement policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain process .
  • Build relationships and lead n egotiat ions for raw material s and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Prepare monthly reports and forecasts, as well as represent the department during business unit functions and meetings.
  • Analyze current inventories and procedures; suggest improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
What we are looking for:
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment; ability to stay focused on responsibilities and meet deadlines; must perform in a high exposure, dynamic, and time-sensitive environment and be able to lead change.
  • Exposure to and/or experience with highly configured product, in an engineered to order environment a plus.
  • Position may require occasional travel.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of Tableau or similar program is also a plus.
  • A background in lean manufacturing and an understanding of the lean toolsets and processes that drive efficiency and profitability a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supply chain leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
