Pay: $95,000+ DOE

We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager for an established and renown aerospace manufacturing company. The Supply Chain Manager coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, production, and distribution of the company's goods. This is a high-visibility succession role.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
  • Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments. Actively drive continuous improvement; develop and execute ideas for enhanced efficiency, productivity, and cost savings
  • Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
  • Model and enforces safe work practices; ensures a consistent focus on safety
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
  • Development of a superior workforce: Work with HR to recruit, interview, select, hire and employ an appropriate number of employees; Coach, mentor, and develop staff; Provide effective performance feedback through recognition, rewards, and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
  • Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
  • Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
  • Oversee and ensure the company’s compliance with all international laws and regulations regarding global trade requirements including but not limited to: EAR and ITAR classification, licensing of products and technical data, foreign national screening and licensing, denied party screening, export clearance of company’s goods and technology and recordkeeping.
  • Acts as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
  • Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
  • Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
  • Analyzes current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
  • Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.


Essential Qualifications

  • APICS Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
  • Must be eligible to serve as an Empowered Official under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
  • To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Thorough understanding of company products and logistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • **Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**
  • International Trade Compliance Requirements (each point only if applicable)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Three years of experience as a supervisor, manager, or similar relevant position required.
  • Seven or more years’ working experience in a manufacturing environment with extensive experience in purchasing, inventory, planning, and MRP systems
  • Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills in a dynamic and rapidly changing business environment
