Job Description

Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager will play an integral role in the Supply Chain team by ensuring the supply of our finished goods to meet Enroots sales plan. The role will work closely with our co-packers and suppliers to meet fulfillment of our core products and new product launches. The Supply Chain Manager will also play a key role in providing supply status reports and communicate to stakeholders in the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Receive and process customer orders and ensure they released for pick-up and shipped OTIF
  • Build solid KPIs and forecast accuracy metrics that will continue to improve accuracy.
  • Own weekly inventory reporting for raw materials and finished goods
  • Identify projected constraints to the production process and optimize production efficiencies within those constraints
  • Manage expiration and write off risk on production materials. Make suggestions to mitigate wastage.
  • Direct month end processes, including reconciling finished goods & raw material inventory levels and partner with accounting teams to close supplier purchase orders and production work orders, etc.
  • Manage co-packers and 3PL’s by ensuring inventory is balanced to support customer orders
  • Work with accounting on a weekly basis to ensure procurement to payment process runs smoothly with all suppliers
  • Manage Amazon’s weekly shipment releases
  • Develop and execute comprehensive production plans at co-packers, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the Company
  • Complete work orders, purchase orders, and inventory transfers daily as reported by co-packers and 3PL’s.
  • Place, track and receive purchase orders of raw materials and printed packaging at co-packers, ensuring they are delivered on time.

Experience

  • Experience managing 3PLs
  • Experience managing co-manufacturers in the food or beverage
  • Experience purchasing ingredients and managing a complex ingredient supply chain.
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Experience with multichannel inventory management
  • Experience working with Direct-to-Consumer businesses
  • Ability to work with staff at all organizational levels.
  • Experience negotiating freight rates with carriers for TL and LTL.

Qualifications

  • Dynamic problem solver - comfortable challenging assumptions and offering solutions
  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through
  • 5-7 years of Supply Chain experience (Production Planning, Warehousing, Transportation, Sales & Ops Planning, Customer Service)
  • Professional, mature individual who possesses strict ethical standards
  • Transparent, open communicator - great listener who can read between the lines
  • End to end Supply Chain experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • An understanding of cost and productivity drivers, and managing the complete supply chain to deliver accurate production volume, and be able to make decisions on trade-offs and priorities to deliver the goals
