Job Title: Buyer II

Employment Type: W2 - 12 months contract renewable up to performance and business need

$25 - $32 per hour

Hours are M-F 8:00am - 5:00pm. Candidate must be able to work East Coast Hours.

Scope of Position:

• Oversees the purchasing of materials from supplier to end site location. Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate materials from supplier to end site location to ensure order accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments

• Place Purchase orders onto supplier for third party materials

• Ensure 3-way match for purchase order, invoice, and delivery receipt for each order

• Work within customer systems to ensure accuracy and provide updates

• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure materials meet project due dates

• Monitors inventory levels and strategies to maintain optimum stocking levels to maximize inventory turns & efficiencies while meeting customer demand

• Coordinates with shipping department for shipment to job site or warehouse

• Tracks shipments, ensure material quantities match paperwork and system information

• Communicates any issues with shipments or receipt of material

• Coordinates with project management on job issuing and material status

• Respond appropriately to rectify instances of material shortages.

• Develops and maintains process to identify time sensitive items and ensure availability.

Required Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

• 2+ years of purchasing, ERP Systems (Planning, purchasing) and Manufacturing experience.

• Thorough knowledge of SAP and ERP systems, production planning procedures, material procurement, and Supply Chain processes.

• Results oriented and forward looking.

• Detail-oriented with strong problem resolution skills and ability to coordinate multi-discipline activities.

• Ability to work independently and a true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment including ability to act as a team leader when required.

• Ability to prioritize multiple deadline-based tasks/projects concurrently and be adaptable to change.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• SAP system knowledge.

• Practical Project Management knowledge and applied experience.

• Data-based decision-making skills with the ability to use data in actively finding solutions.

• Self-starter: ability to drive things to closure.

• Strong ability to collaborate with peers.
