Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support initiatives and critical tasks for Sungrow’s import supply chain pipeline of photovoltaic solar and battery energy storage shipments, with a specific emphasis on trade import execution and compliance
· Review and process submissions of import custom clearance entries to third party customs brokers, primarily air and ocean shipments.
· Oversee and manage logistics documentation compliance issued by external and internal parties for domestic and international shipments
· Analyze, audit, and reconcile international freight expenses for import shipments, and assist with governmental reconciliation of import duties and fees
· Provide comprehensive reports and summaries of Sungrow’s overall US & Canada supply chain operating structure on a routine basis, updating information in tandem with changing government policies, project economics landscape, logistics industry indices, product evolution, among a few examples.
· Conduct ongoing and document pre/post audits, including customs entries sampling and warehouse visits for witnessing physical inventory
· Proactively identify opportunities to strategize and identify improvements in supply chain execution in compliance with currently enforced regulations
· Communicate with internal trade division on proper identification of product and commodity tariff codes on import trade documents
· Identify, interpret, and inform others of currently applicable and future regulatory requirements to ensure appropriate compliance procedures are in place
Minimum Requirements:
· Intermediate or advanced MS office (emphasis on excel) skills required
· Professional verbal and written communication skills required
· Strong decision making and creative problem-solving skills
· Chinese language proficiency preferred, but not required
Education or Desired License and Certificates:
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
· Minimum 2 years of supply chain, logistics, procurement, or other business operations and administration related experience required
Travel
10%, with opportunities for additional optional travel as required. Some international travel may be required given the nature of the position
Work Location and Status:
· Full time, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or Houston preferred; Hybrid/Remote depending on qualifications will be considered
· No visa sponsorship
