Job Description

Norit Activated Carbon has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst within our Product Management team. This role is primarily focused on balancing commercial needs with plant scheduling by monitoring orders and daily production at North American plants, and planning production runs and stock transfers accordingly.

Norit Activated Carbon is a global leader in activated carbon products and a major producer of activated carbon in both North America and the world. Our purification solutions are used in a growing range of environmental, health, safety, and industrial applications to remove pollutants, contaminants and other impurities from air, water and other liquids and gases in an efficient and cost-effective manner.


Who We Are Looking For:

In this role you will work closely with the supply, inventory, operations and sales (SIOP) manager as well as the commercial team and plant schedulers to create optimized monthly plans and to adjust plans accordingly as sales demands change. The successful candidate will be someone who can:

  • Contribute to raw material planning.
  • Contribute to the optimization of inventory levels company wide.
  • Maintain detailed sales and production plans to coordinate business needs with plant production scheduling.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the complex and interrelated production model of activated carbon.
  • Coordinate the needs of Norit’s Eurasian business with production and supply capabilities from North America.
  • Respect the Company’s ethics, values, all applicable laws and be above reproach in all business matters.
  • Work closely with third party and joint venture partners to secure supply of products they provide.
  • Maintain close communication with the sales and plant production teams.


Specific competencies we are looking for include:

  • Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree in Supply Chain, Business, or other related discipline, or equivalent direct experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of excel or equivalent.
  • Ability to write reports and communicate information easily.
  • General knowledge of specialized materials and plant planning.
  • Inter-personal and communications skills to interface with external and internal groups.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to quickly pivot plans to accommodate unexpected business developments.
  • 3-5 years of prior analytical experience in a production or business field.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills to maintain complex plans.
