Supplier Quality Engineer


Indianapolis, IN


As a Supplier Quality Engineer for Rolls-Royce, you’ll be leading and facilitating supplier improvement projects to meet quality, delivery and capability requirements of the Supply Chain Management Team, and drive compliance to SABRe (Supplier Advanced Business Relationship).

Key Accountabilities


  • Identifying and flowing Rolls-Royce, customer and regulatory requirements to suppliers Assessing and coaching suppliers on PO requirements including SABRe
  • Engaging with suppliers to identify quality, cost and delivery improvements
  • Executing non-conformance control processes, including active escalation when required
  • Working closely with the Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager to help frame and implement purchasing strategies
  • Resolving supplier and customer issues through the robust application of problem resolution tools and methodologies
  • Defining capture and evaluating supplier performance data to recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions


Basic Qualifications


  • A Master’s degree with experience in a Naval Marine, Aerospace, or Manufacturing environment OR;
  • A JD/PhD with experience in a Naval Marine, Aerospace, or Manufacturing environment OR;
  • A Bachelor’s degree with 2+ experience in a Naval Marine, Aerospace, or Manufacturing environment OR;
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • An Associate’s degree with 4+ years of experience in a Naval Marine, Aerospace, or Manufacturing environment OR;


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of the Rolls-Royce SABRe document
  • Lean and/or process improvement experience, with Green or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with non-conforming material management
  • Certified Auditor or pursuing certification
  • Experience within SAP
