Getting to Know the Opportunity:
This position is provides a fantastic experience on a vibrant team on the Investment Management Controllership team. Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.
Contributions You Will Make:
Learn the fundamentals of accounting, investment reporting, and the financial statement close process. Gain direct experience with the sourcing process from entering invoice into the Oracle tools to processing of the account coding and follow-up of payments to vendors/business partners. Gain insights into the Investment Management Accounting and Finance process, specifically understanding how the forecast of revenues and expenses aligns to the process of recording actuals to the general ledger.
Intern Availability:
Individual must be graduating no later than May 2024. Intern must be available for 40 hours per week during the summer program. There will be an option to remain on staff after the summer program working 10 – 25 hours per week. Access to a quiet / private area during work hours to facilitate video calls, concentration on work, and professionalism while interacting with Voya IM leaders and business partners.
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
Open to Accounting and Business Administration majors. Minimum 3.0 GPA Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Ability to clearly communicate by instant messaging, video calls, and emails Ability to work with a sense of urgency while balancing several complex projects. Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities. The pay range is $20 to $23 per hour. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Compensation Pay Disclosure:

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
