Job Description

Division of Summer Session provides courses and programs for various students during summer.
Under the direct supervision of the Summer Session Student Services Manager, the Student Services Officer uses professional concepts to apply organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing administrative operational issues as it relates to supporting students enrolled in Summer Session courses. This includes providing excellent customer service while receiving inquiries and questions from prospective and current Summer Session students about course offerings and enrollment issues. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope; responsible for finding solutions for complex student account issues and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Coordinates with a variety of campus units to ensure special enrollment processing (for school-led, veteran, athletic, and graduate programs) is accurate and efficient. Serves as back-up support for course setup entry, as needed.

$30.44 - $32.56 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $30.44 - $48.86 (Hourly Rate)


Required:
1-3 years’ experience in customer service environment
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond with flexibility to changing priorities and interact with a professional demeanor to customers and staff. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, student, and faculty, verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Excellent ability to attend to detail, is organized and methodical and has excellent organizational skills to plan, schedule, coordinate details, keep others informed, adapt to frequent changes and keep other staff members informed. General office and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
