Procurement Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Mexico)

We are seeking a Procurement Strategic Sourcing Specialist who will be an integral part of the global procurement team partnering with various members of our operations and technology teams to support the company’s strategy. This role requires a hand’s on individual with a “can do” attitude that is willing to dig deep to understand business challenges and develop/implement best-in-class procurement processes that improve efficiency and supplier performance. The individual selected will be required to work EST hours; Due to the global nature of this role, some evening work may be required.

What You'll Do
In more detail than above, a successful Procurement Strategic Sourcing Specialist will:
Contract & Negotiations:

• Lead basic negotiations for products and services to support business needs with a focus on total cost of ownership in support of company initiatives, including, but not limited to Order Forms, Master Agreements, Statements of Work and Amendments
• Establish and negotiate aim-high and bottom-line commercial positions, price protection, expansion tables, true-up, payment terms, etc. to ensure the best possible total cost of ownership while minimizing risk and maximizing business flexibility
• Leading commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers
• Show understanding of contractual terms and conditions contained in an MSA, SOW, Order, etc. and ability to redline

Category Management & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Provide feedback to stakeholder business case to ensure alignment with company objectives
• Lead various internal/external engagements to ensure an appropriate level of visibility and communication is maintained, Emphasis on verbal communication with an email follow-up
• Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, facilitating basic business conversations
• Conduct analysis on quotations, supplier performance, etc.
• Interacting frequently with internal business partners, including experience assisting with preparing and delivery of internal presentations and business cases
• Provide exceptional customer service to the business

What You will need to be Successful:
(Education) Bachelor’s degree. Preferred in Business Administration, Technology or Finance.

• Driven to providing a procurement perspective on the overall engagement
• Demonstrated success working through situations that may be ambiguous
• Thrives in ambiguous situations with an ability to quickly assess a situation and set in motion the appropriate steps to close
• Strong communication and tactful influencing skills (written, spoken, presenting) with demonstrated experience communicating difficult concepts in easy to understand formats
• Ability to build/maintain business relationships and generate excitement
• Experience with identifying and leveraging Diverse suppliers
• Contracting experience, including the understanding of common clauses and experience with redlining/crafting appropriate contract language
• 2+ years of experience in a global procurement role managing supplier relationships (Background Screening operations experience preferred but not required)
• Ability to establish credibility quickly and act decisively
• Able to Conduct analysis on quotations, supplier performance, etc.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of background screening operations
• Previous international team leadership experience
• Helpful to have knowledge of Oracle (I-Procurement)
