  • Responsible for cultivating and growing American’s global partnership with American Express Global Business Travel, which generates approximately $4.5 billion in high yielding / premium AA/JB revenue annually.
  • This job is a member of the Sales Team within the Sales Division.
What You'll Do
  • Analyzes channel performance and develop / implement recommendations for improvement
  • Engages American Airlines and American Express account management teams to support corporate performance through the American Express booking channel
  • Leads contract strategy and negotiations with American Express Global Business Travel
  • Provides ad-hoc analytical support or project support as needed
  • Work with Joint Business partners and American's TMC team from international teams to create and implement a global strategy for American's global partnership with American Express Global Business Travel
  • Ensures American Express GBT channel incentives support American's growth strategy – corporate revenue growth, SMB revenue group and Groups revenue growth
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key American Express executives and promote the American Airlines brand at TMC and industry speaking engagements
  • Drives partnership strategy between American Express Global Business Travel and American by leveraging data to derive analytical insights aimed at creating value for both American Express Global Business Travel and American Airlines
  • Develops and leads quarterly account reviews with American Express leadership team
  • Leads channel strategy among key stakeholders like Sales Strategy, Corporate Programs and RM that rely on the American Express GBT channel – American's largest revenue channel for high yielding / premium revenue
  • Communicates regularly with management of American Express Global Business Travel, American Sales Leaders, Sales Strategy, International Strategy and other commercial organizations within American – including Revenue Management, Marketing and Loyalty

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • 5 years of sales / distribution experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Advanced degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous account management experience
