Overview

The Jerry Seiner Dealerships and their outdoor accessory store, Destination Upfitters is seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Store Manager to lead our team and deliver exceptional customer service. As Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory management, visual merchandising, staff management, operations management, and budget management. It is vital that you understand and enjoy the outdoors and will be able to educate customers and have vast product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with other store managers, departments, and cross-functional teams to drive results and optimize the customer experience.
• Data driven with the ability to report to stakeholders and executive management.
• Ability and willingness to learn proprietary software systems and platforms.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and implementing processes to enhance customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and store performance.
• Develop marketing and promotional strategies to increase store traffic with the internal marketing team.
• Ensure that the store is visually appealing, and products are displayed in an attractive manner, optimizing store layout for sales.
• Manage and maintain store inventory to ensure product availability and accuracy.
• Oversee all operational aspects of the store, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining store cleanliness and safety.
• Manage off-site mini-store extensions and order fulfillment within the Jerry Seiner Dealership Group.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members to enhance their skills, grow their careers and support their success.
• Manage the store's budget and ensure that financial targets are met.
• Create and execute sales and operational plans to meet or exceed store targets, while managing costs and ensuring high levels of operational efficiency.
• Ensure all store processes and procedures are followed to maximize efficiency and create scale.
• Lead and manage a team of retail associates to ensure exceptional customer service is provided in-store, online, and on the phone.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, trust, and respect.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, retail, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft 360 suite
• 5+ years of retail management experience, preferably in an outdoor gear and clothing retail environment.
• Proven ability to drive sales, manage budgets, and operational processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven track record of achieving results through team members.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Passion for outdoor activities and an understanding of outdoor gear and clothing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
