Job Overview


As part of the Clinical Resource (CR) Team, the Staffing Coordinator supports day-to-day clinical staffing, through management of our scheduling tool. Staffing Coordinator collects and considers unit-based staffing information, in collaboration with the House Supervisor, makes staffing decisions to allocate and balance resources. In addition, the Staffing Coordinator assists with communicating daily assignments of the Clinical Resource Team.

Hours per week: 24, eligible for benefits
Shift: 24 hours a week, two 12 hour day shifts (7p-7a)

Qualifications

  • EDUCATION – High school diploma or equivalent
  • EXPERIENCE - Strong organization, coordination and customer service skills required. Previous staffing and medical office or hospital background preferred. Kronos experience preferred. Functional knowledge of Windows operating environment including but not limited to Word and Excel programs required. Some experience with databases helpful. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to prioritize effectively, work independently and as a team member.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides administrative functions and actions to support clinical staffing throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrates a high-level knowledge and proficient utilization of the staffing management system.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation and maintenance of daily staffing activities, though the staffing management system.
  • Able to create reports and analyze staffing trends. Prepare, distributes, and communicates reports as needed.
  • Maintain decision making within identified scope and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Serves as a conduit between key stakeholders by compiling unit-based staffing information and communicating staffing allocation decisions.
  • Responsible for clear and effective communication to departments.
  • Able to handle phone calls with professional phone etiquette.
  • Contributes to workflow improvement.
  • Participates in departmental committees and projects as assigned.
  • Assists in training and orienting team members to department as needed. May include editing and compiling of training documentation.

Supervision Received: Under close supervision, the employee receives training to develop skills and abilities in a specific line of work or general occupational area. Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $39,108.40 to $58,662.61
Hourly Salary Range: $18.80 to $28.20
