Arvada Young Life is currently looking for a staff associate. The focus of the staff position is to develop and sustain ministry teams within the western part or our city.

West Arvada is the number one growing area in Arvada with more than 17,000 new residents added within the last five years. West Arvada has two public high schools, three middle schools, and two charter schools.

Our desire is to continue the resources for each of the ministries that we have, as well as develop resources to build the ones we don't. We specifically are looking for someone who is an entrepreneur. This position will oversee the four ministries we have in the west Arvada area, as well as develop resources within the city so that ministry will continue to flourish.

Arvada has some sweet community, healthy ministry and an awesome small-town feel. This position will work directly with the area director to ensure vision and direction is passed on throughout the local teams.

Responsibilities

• Construct and implement a recruitment strategy for new leaders.
• Cast vision.
• Work closely with the area director.
• Create teams of people (leaders and parents) to support and grow the local ministry.
• Model excellent relational work with kids.
• Provide spiritual leadership.
• Build community and parent support teams.
• Fulfill Young Life Training courses (New Staff, Leadership I & II, Winter Training and Apologetics).

Qualifications:

• Proven pastoral, leadership, vision and team building skills.
• Ability to build strong, deep and lasting relationships with kids and adults.
• A deep and growing faith in Jesus.
• Has experience with area director responsibilities preferred but not required.
• At least three years on Young Life staff.
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills — as it pertains to donors and parents of kids.
• Fundraising knowledge and success — including personal fundraising ability.

Notes:

Estimated hiring range based on education, experience, etc.: $1,827 - $2,178 per month.
