Job Description

About The StealthCo

Redesign Health is launching a new venture, StealthCo, a virtual gastroenterology (GI) focused chronic care management (CCM) company that will deliver a superior care experience to GI patients by integrating "gold standard" GI care management into the patient's existing care from primary care providers (PCPs) and/or GI specialists. We will accomplish this while empowering PCPs and GI specialists to practice at the top of their license in diagnosing and treating GI conditions by equipping them with a multidisciplinary tech-enabled care team, purpose-built technology and other support.

People who suffer from GI conditions often are frustrated with the level of care that they receive and the time it can take to solve their issues. They bounce from PCPs to specialists and back again with probabilistic or contradictory diagnoses. It can often take months to get an appointment with a specialist, and providers can be dismissive of symptoms and the resulting impact on quality of life. They are offered an array of treatments that are difficult to follow and/or do not provide lasting relief from symptoms, which can be both physically painful and humiliating. GI patients often suffer as much from the mental health ramifications of their condition as from its physical symptoms.

Likewise, insufficient supply of GI specialists, limited technology and support for both PCPs and specialists, and misaligned incentives across the GI patient journey lead to disjointed care, unnecessary provider burdens, and significant waste. Today's system tasks PCPs with a significant share of responsibility in caring for GI patients; however, many PCPs do not have the proper support to adequately address the needs of this population on their own, and neither do GI specialists. These failings frustrate providers who want to treat their patients successfully, and they also create significant extra cost burdens and/or lost revenue opportunities for them.

A new solution is required to meet the needs of both patients and providers. StealthCo will significantly improve the lives of patients and providers by delivering gold standard chronic disease management services that will fill the massive care gaps between PCPs and specialists while working closely with all such providers to deliver an integrated care experience for their patients.

About The Job

As Chief of Staff at StealthCo, you will work alongside the CEO and be one of the first employees joining the founding team. You will work with the other founding team members, functional leaders across Redesign Health's platform and StealthCo's partners, customers and patients. You will be an extension of the CEO to extend his capabilities by helping him to maximize his time spent on his key priorities and align work and communication across the entire company. You will get your hands really dirty building all aspects of a new company from scratch. You will experience both the very strategic and very tactical aspects of creating a high-growth startup successfully.

This role will report directly to the StealthCo's CEO.

What you'll do:

  • You will support the CEO in building the founding team and launching the business, tracking high priority initiatives for the CEO and executive team, identifying any obstacles, and creating or suggesting plans to overcome them.
  • You will support early sales and partnership efforts with target identification, pitch refinement, and relationship management.
  • You will help to prepare the CEO for board meetings and other investor communications, including preparation of board / investor presentations and regular investor outreach.
  • You will partner with the Redesign's finance and accounting functions to establish a foundation for tracking business performance, maintain StealthCo's financial model and prepare for future financings.
  • You will partner with all functions to refine, launch and iterate upon StealthCo's MVP and to build scalable processes thereafter; you may constitute StealthCo's capabilities for some functions yourself during the MVP process.

What you'll need:

Background

  • You have 4+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years experience in healthcare operations, healthcare investing / investment banking or healthcare consulting roles.
  • You have experience managing critical external relationships and negotiations with vendors, suppliers, investors, candidates, and/or other key partners.
  • You have 1+ years experience in an early startup environment where you've been an extension of leadership and helped measure and hit milestones to achieve company goals.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • You are detail oriented and have the ability to organize, operate and communicate effectively in a highly ambiguous environment.
  • You have hands-on financial modeling skills (Excel/Google Spreadsheets) and presentation acumen (PowerPoint/Google Slides).
  • You have operational planning skills to help the business launch, achieve product market fit and successfully raise Series A funding.

Who you are:

  • Ensures Accountability. You act with a clear sense of ownership. You follow through on commitments and make sure others do the same.
  • Possess a Founder's Mindset. You are driven by the company's core mission. You have a strong ownership mindset and an entrepreneurial spirit. You are a self starter. You are willing to get your hands dirty and do tactical work to drive the business forward. You get the most out of limited resources, and apply your knowledge of internal structures, processes and culture to resourcing efforts.
  • A Strong Collaborator and Communicator. You are able to communicate effectively with anyone, from technical engineers and strategic business partners to patients and providers to senior executives. You tailor your message to meet the audience. You "manage up" and "manage down" equally well.
  • Utilize Business Insight. You use knowledge of business drivers and how strategies and tactics play out in the market to guide your actions.

This position is remote. You may work from anywhere in the continental US.
