Sr. Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking a strategic Senior Supply Chain Manager in Pittsburgh! As a global organization with a diverse supply chain, this role offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, optimize procurement processes, and manage key vendor relationships in the ever-evolving world of industrial commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish effective communication channels with design engineering and product managers, ensuring seamless support for new product development and part introductions.
• Create strategic supplier alliances for specific commodities, both domestically and internationally (electrical components, metal, hydraulics, etc.)
• Conduct in-depth analysis of commodity-market-supplier data, cost models, and industry trends to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead the formulation and execution of business models, contractual terms, and policies, while maintaining strict adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Facilitate regular performance evaluations and compliance checks with suppliers, aiming to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Execute high-level negotiations with key stakeholders to secure lucrative business agreements that drive organizational growth.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as Procurement and Quality, to gain executive endorsement of business terms and ensure the timely delivery of contractual materials.
• Play a pivotal role in selecting ideal partners for new projects, evaluating their technological and business capabilities, and devising successful business models.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven expertise in inventory control, budgeting, procurement, and change management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• 10+ years of leadership experience in Operations or Supply Chain Management, with a focus on strategic planning and project execution
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent
• Able to work in the office, as well as travel up to 40%
• Strong business acumen and understanding of corporate finance principles.
• Familiarity with SAP and other relevant software for inventory tracking and supply chain management.
