pager is an early-stage startup backed by Google Ventures. We built a visual link in bio for social media creators that turns anything they can screenshot into links (think Pinterest meets Linktree) and our grand vision is to build an internet discover platform powered by smart screenshots.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Social Media Manager to lead the company’s social media efforts on TikTok and Instagram. An ideal candidate will be able to not only develop but also execute a social media strategy to increase pager’s brand awareness, support the company’s growth, and cultivate community.
pager's Sr. Social Manager will be responsible for:
  • Building cohesive organic and paid social media strategy for pager's Instagram and TikTok accounts which includes:
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance of our social content, and continuously optimize social strategy based on our best performing content
  • Creating strategic messaging to target pager's target audience on the broader product and marketing levels.
  • Setting collaborative goals for pager's social media that align and support pager's company, product and marketing goals.
  • Stay up to date on best practices and industry trends including paid advertising, social platform updates and social engagement tactics
  • Creation of a social playbook & guidelines on how we show up across TikTok & Instagram
  • Build a weekly and monthly cadence of reporting, educating cross functional partners
  • Test & iterate: Use creative intuition to run content and engagement experiments, assess those experiments and eventually figure out well-defined content buckets that drive success.
  • Community management: responding and engaging to comments and actively participating in social chatter and viral trends
  • Creative direction: collaborate with pager's Lead Brand Designer to develop pager's visual identity on social
  • Owning the production of pager's TikTok and Instagram organic and paid content from start to finish: coming up with concepts, scripting them out, filming, editing, writing copy, and posting.
  • Creating and maintaining a cohesive content calendar that aligns with pager's marketing and communications initiatives and goals
  • Understanding social media and broader cultural trends, integrating them into pager's social media strategy, and keeping the cross-functional team in the know on key social media trends
  • Communicating with key stakeholders, and monitoring KPIs, to understand where paid amplification would drive metrics.
  • Executing the strategy that you build, which includes:
  • Working with pager's Marketing and Communications Lead to develop pager's voice and storytelling on social
  • Reporting: Create analytics and project management systems and processes that measure the effectiveness of pager's social media strategy:
  • Working with pager's Creator Community Manager to develop pager's community strategy on social media
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience of brand social media management , specifically with Instagram and TikTok
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience working at a startup, on a small teams, is a plus and/or small projects
  • Having some background in visual design or graphic design is a plus
  • Must have and maintain knowledge of pop culture and viral trends
  • Strong video and visual production skills
  • Proficiency with social media native platforms (including back-end analytics and ad platforms, i.e., Facebook’s Business Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, etc.
  • Experience working either in the creator economy, or for a brand with high growth due to social media, or have worked for a company that grew through social media and influencer marketing
  • Possess a deep expertise of TikTok and Instagram, including content best practices, platform purposes, and a pulse on relevant trends and updates within each
