Senior Research Scientist, Position Overview:

AJK Biopharmaceutical is focused on the clinical development of novel anti-infective drugs with an emphasis on developing broad-spectrum antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and antiviralcompounds.We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Research Scientist to lead research and development projects toward combatting infectious diseases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scientific research, an established publication record, and a proven ability to apply innovative methodologies and technologies to address real-world challenges.AJK Biopharmaceutical was founded in 2018 and is headquartered in Orange County, California.As a Senior Research Scientist, you will be a pivotal member of our research team, leading cutting-edge projects to combat life–threatening infectious diseases.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Leadership:

Lead research and development projects from conception to execution, providing expert guidance and strategic direction to team members. Collaborate with other researchers, AJK leaders, and stakeholders to align research goals with the company's vision.

Innovative Research:

Conduct cutting-edge research on peptides and their application toward infectious diseases.

Publication and Recognition:

Publish research findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other relevant publications to contribute to the scientific community and establish the company as a thought leader in the industry.

Experimental Design and Data Analysis:

Design and oversee experiments, simulations, or data collection activities. Apply rigorous statistical analysis to draw meaningful conclusions from research data.

Technology Integration:

Explore emerging technologies and assess their potential for integration into the research process, enhancing the team's capabilities and staying at the forefront of advancements in the field.

Project Management:

Effectively manage research projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and budgets. Monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks, and implement strategies to mitigate risks.

Collaboration with External Partners:

Collaborate with external academic institutions, industry partners, and research organizations to foster collaborative opportunities and leverage complementary expertise.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·Ph.D. in biochemistry, biological sciences, or a related discipline with a strong publication record demonstrating expertise in the research area.

·At least one year of post-doctoralexperience in scientific research, with a proven track record of leading successful research projects.

·Proficiency in cell culture techniques, standard microbiology, and molecular techniques (e.g., ELISA, Western blot, PCR, flow cytometry), mechanism of action studies, and animal models is highly desirable.

·Extensive knowledge of the latest advancements and trends in microbiology and drug development and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical challenges.

·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of statistical methods and experimental design.

·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

·Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

·Authorization to live and work in the United States
