Position Overview
Under the direction of the Director, this position trains, leads and supervises direct reports in the assigned area(s) and sells products and services to in order to satisfy Company objectives.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participates in full-cycle contract negotiations on behalf of the Company
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Leads acquisition, development, and retention of CSD accounts for an assigned region through a sales team.
  • Leads channel development activity by establishing and assigning sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Using company vehicle or other mode of transportation, travels within assigned market to customer locations to perform job duties.
  • Collaborates with training and talent development teams to assess and solve for team training needs.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and reviews/analyzes sales data by location to set performance goals, formulate policy and promote sales
  • Leads activities of the CSD sales team in assigned territory, including but not limited to, conducting sales calls, national account set up, analyzing, and controlling departmental expenditures, preparing sales reports, implementing process improvements, participating in trade shows, etc.
  • Collaborates with other departments within the organization to provide field level support that ultimately supports overall company goals
  • Meets primarily with key customers (large, complex and/or at risk), assists Key Account Managers and Sales Executives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Enforces measures of success for sales team and ensures profitability and sustainability of accounts.
  • Responsible for building, developing, and retaining talent necessary to drive a high-performance sales team, along with ensuring succession planning is in place.
  • May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assigned
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements and manages P & L for area.
  • Develops, implements, and tracks strategic sales plans to accomplish corporate goals on an annual basis
Position Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Experience within Ready to Drink (RTD) beverage preferred
  • At least 2 years of successful team leadership experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field for four -year college or university preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5 years of management or supervisory experience in a DSD sales environment, required ; experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and handheld point-of-sale computer systems, preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license required
