Job Description

Job Summary
The Sr. Nurse Case Analyst is responsible for supporting all areas of the Medical Services team to include medical qualifications, return to work, and on and off duty injuries for CSX employees.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities

  • Review medical qualification of new hires, job transfers and certification examinations
  • Support return to work processes for personal injuries
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
  • Request medical information to clarify medical conditions identified on exams
  • Coordinate with HR, LR, and Field Supervisors in scheduling and processing medical exams
  • Collaborate with Legal Department of medical facts in EEOC complaints on failure to hire
  • Support on and off duty injury processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
  • 3 or more years of work experience in the medical field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
  • 5 or more years of experience in the medical filed.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Commercial Driver's License (CDL) medical requirements
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of FRA drug testing requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of railroad work environment
  • Knowledge of labor agreements
  • Knowledge of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) Medical Standards
  • Knowledge of FRA Conductor and Engineer certification requirements
  • Ability to interact effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task and pivot as business needs require
