Job Description
Suns Legacy Partners includes several companies and many different departments that support the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and Footprint Center.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sr Manager, Talent & Engagement with the People and Culture Department. As a Sr. Manager Talent & Engagement, you will play a key role in building and supporting talent programs and processes that drive growth and organizational culture. This individual will collaborate with the SVP, People and Culture and Leadership team to plan and execute talent processes including, but not limited to, performance management, onboarding, talent and leadership development programs and employee engagement initiatives. This role collaborates closely with a variety of internal and external partners and supports the overall People & Culture (P&C) objectives. This role will oversee the connectivity of driving clear and inclusive engagement processes from recruiting, development, DEI and retention.
What Will You Do
  • Oversee and Manage team members in engagement recruiting, learning and development and DEI
  • Plan, design, redesign and manage new and existing development programs, creating talent solutions that focus on the growth, culture, engagement, and retention of our talent.
  • Use data to evaluate and track the effectiveness of current programs and recommend and/or implement enhancements and new initiatives as appropriate.
  • Partner with the SVP, People and Culture to communicate and drive performance management processes, with a focus on developing an engaged and diverse workforce.
  • Plan, design and executive learning and development initiatives, including training plans, and live and virtual trainings
  • May work with external vendors and consultants to plan and coordinate talent development programs; manage the business relationships, contracts and quality of the programs, resources, and results.
  • Prepare and report on key talent metrics including, but not limited to, talent review data, succession planning and internal moves and promotions.
  • Remain current on talent and performance best practices, leveraging external partnerships and networks.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders on talent management strategies and programs to drive organizational culture and performance.
  • Partner to plan, craft and manage the creation and distribution of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) communications – collecting and incorporating feedback, capturing and analyzing survey data and developing and implementing engagement action plans.
What We Need From Our Sr. Manager, Talent & Engagement:
  • Demonstrated experience with critical thinking and using data analytics and internal and external trends to assess program effectiveness to make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand, and the ability to interpret complex information from others
  • A passion for internal/employee communications as a key culture-building tool to help boost engagement, belonging and morale.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; highly collaborative team approach to work.
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and responsiveness are critical because of the high visibility of this team's work within the company.
  • Proven ability to manage talent programs effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with talent and performance systems and tools, and Microsoft Office Tools
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with a diverse network of administrative leadership and staff.
Experience/ Education Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in human resources, specifically in the areas of talent development, performance management, employee engagement, and learning solutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field of study; or, an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
