Job Summary:

Sr. Manager, Talent Relations

A dedicated, dynamic, and seasoned manager is needed for the Walt Disney Studios Publicity Team. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position that requires creativity, improvisation, organization, and communication at a very high level. This position requires some non-traditional working hours (early morning/weekends), light travel and on field level work at events, including premieres, screenings & junkets.

Responsibilities:

  • New scope of job to include the expanded responsibilities of talent relationtion liaison across the Disney+ brand. This includes TCA, Upfronts, multi titles showcases, seasonal stunts, acquisition events and platform partner initiatives.
  • Implement a streamlined system for all talent requests throughout the company, creating both internal and external consistency for daily inquiries.
  • Fulfill SWAG Requests/Charity Requests from Talent/Filmmakers with Corporate Communication.
  • Maintain Disney approved Talent and vendor databases.
  • Facilitate Park Requests/Trips for Talent, Filmmakers, VIP’s Business Parrners and help liaison for Government Relations at Disneyland (Anaheim), WDW (Florida), Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney (both Disneyland & Disney Sea), Shanghai Disney and Club 33.
  • Manage all ticketing requests for Talent/Filmmakers and internal and external VIPs, including tickets for Sporting events and Broadway shows.
  • Run point on all gifting needs across Production teams (Live Action, 20th, Marvel) and Disney+ Brand as well as managing gifting for life cycle events (i.e. Birthdays, Award nominations/wins, death of a family member, new child).
  • VISA procurement for Publicity Use and liaising with internal Immigration, hiring of outside counsel, using vendors for both new visa’s, renewals and even passports.
  • Organize research trips for Filmmakers as well as Walt’s Office Tours for VIPs as requested.
  • Organize friends and family screenings as requested and help with premiere allotments from Production.
  • Oversee all aspects of talent relations including production/life cycle/holiday/awards gifts (ideating, acquiring, distributing) across brands, visa processing (production and publicity windows), VIPs Disneyland visits.
  • Manage Talent Relations on behalf of WDS Publicity/Marketing, Disney Live Action Production, 20th Century Studios, Lucasfilm, Marvel Studios, Feature Animation and Disney+ Brand.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and oral.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly.
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite and Keynote is preferred.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to maintain professionalism & strong working relationships under pressure.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in the handling of sensitive and confidential information while exercising good judgment and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others, both in a supervisory role and as a collaborative team player.

The hiring range for this position in CA is $95,445.65 - $123,517.90 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
