Onyx Collective is a new content brand on Hulu designed to curate a slate of premium entertainment by creators of color and underrepresented voices.

The Talent Relations Coordinator plays a key role on the Freeform and Onyx Collective (Disney Entertainment) Talent Relations team by coordinating talent travel, schedules, logistics and invoicing.

The ideal candidate is great at multi-tasking and will possess a positive attitude, professionalism, and be a team player who is able to work collaboratively and efficiently. Exceptional organizational and communication skills with impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure and within deadlines, is also required. Being able to work discreetly with confidential information is important. Creative thinker with ideas on reaching the network’s target audience.

Primary Duties:

The candidate will coordinate travel needs for talent, schedule hotel, flight, and car service, prepare itineraries, handle gifting and assist with talent visits to Disney properties and parks. Ensures that travel needs are met within the constraints of the company travel policy. Interact with talent and talent representatives.

This role will also include some administrative support for the Vice President of the department, including booking travel and completing expense reports.

Works under moderate supervision.

As needed the ideal candidate will also be available to work nights and weekends at our various show publicity events, and some travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Process hair & make-up invoices to ensure timely payments are made.
  • Create detailed travel and event itineraries.
  • Assist with new hire paperwork and the onboarding of hair and makeup vendors.
  • Budget management of travel costs and gifts.
  • Work closely with LA-based Vice President and Manager to book travel, transportation and accommodations as well as hair, makeup and wardrobe styling for talent.
  • Manage talent information in our SPARK database.
  • Provide support for special requests from talent, as needed.
  • Oversee talent gifting (coming up with creative and bespoke gift ideas, placing orders and handling gift wrapping through our warehouse, as well as managing the department credit card for purchases including completing expense reports). Gift ideas will need to fit into the allotted budget.
  • Assist with managing special events. Special events include but are not limited to, San Diego and New York Comic Con, D23, and the Network Upfront in May along with various show specific events.
  • Assist the Publicity team with brainstorming publicity strategy and supporting the team at events and appearances.
  • Provide support in arranging talent experiences at our Disney Park properties and secure talent for Walt Disney Studio movie premieres.

Qualifications:

  • Work interdepartmentally with network and corporate teams to achieve synergy goals (Marketing, Ad Sales, Corporate Social Responsibility)
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP and Google Docs.
  • Ability to grow and foster internal and external partnerships; work collaboratively with talent and talent representatives.
  • A sound work ethic, desire and commitment to accept increasingly greater challenges and responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ad hoc departmental assignments as needed.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of related work experience in the entertainment industry in media or talent relations.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of both working within a team environment and independently.
  • Demonstrated writing and presentation abilities.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $51,120 to $70,290 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
