Job Summary & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Manager of National Conferences and Events who will manage Nevro's presence at all national trade shows held within the United States and external trade shows in both the chronic back and leg pain space and in the diabetes / painful diabetic neuropathy space. You will be responsible for contributing to and executing thought leadership around trade shows and ensuring the meetings supports sales and marketing goals through thoughtful planning and rigorous management.


The successful candidate will have an event industry background that includes developing and producing events through solid coordination, communication, event planning, contract negotiating, and cross-functional leadership.


This position is full-time, includes significant travel (up to 50%), and may be remote from our Redwood City headquarters as long as there is airport access to US cities and occasional international destinations.


Role Requirements:
  • Event strategy:
    • Work with the marketing team to establish infrastructure and processes for maximizing trade show organization and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to manage the trade show calendar and develop tailored strategies for each event, including input from cross-functional groups, including sales teams.
    • Ensuring conference presence aligns with overall brand strategy
    • Managing event calendars and working with marketing to identify and stage event opportunities
    • Collaborate with sales, professional education, and marketing to continually improve and refine events and event best practices.
    • Evaluate and report on events success overall.

  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure clear and timely communication on various congresses
  • Align and drive functional groups (sales, marketing, and professional education) toward a firmly coordinated event presence.

  • Work with events partners, including catering, registration, facilities, shipping, and other event logistics partners, to ensure flawless execution.
  • Oversee registration database system, including database maintenance, event creation, communication, reporting, and distribution of revealment date with internal partners and leadership.

    • Manage conference and event physician financial transparency reports (Sunshine Act), including timely and accurate collection, maintenance, and submission.
    • Oversee registration database system, including database maintenance, event creation, communication, reporting, and distribution of revealment date with internal partners and leadership.
    • Align and drive functional groups (sales, marketing, and professional education) toward a firmly coordinated event presence.
    • Liaise with internal teams to ensure clear and timely communication on various congresses
    • Manage access to travel services using approved travel agencies (for attendees of sanctioned events)
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors.

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Booth design, build, and management experience
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Familiarity with the competitive event landscape
  • Desire to consistently enhance events and bring new ideas, strategic and executional
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Affinity Designer, Publisher, Photo or Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Experience managing event budgets
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Global travel: approximately 50%
  • 12 years of events marketing experience or 8+ years with a master’s degree.
  • Willingness to singularly manage all aspects of a program
  • Ability to work across various levels of the organization while building trust and fostering collaboration
  • Ability to multitask and take the lead on several events simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines
Target Pay Range:
$139,320 to $169,923 - the final starting salary offer to the successful candidate will be determined by evaluating several factors, such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, internal equity, alignment with market data, and geography. *Nevro is a multi-state employer, so the target pay range may increase or decrease depending on the city/state.
