Sr. Health Promotion Specialist

Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Health Promotion Specialist, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will develop and implement interdisciplinary population based holistic, integrated, "Upstream," cross-professional well-being strategies and programs that address the needs of the entire workforce across the full spectrum of well-being, to equip the workforce team members with necessary life skills and services to be their best selves and help build a strong culture of care, within the values and mission of the Hospital.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Serves as a lead within the department and among other staff to create an infrastructure to support and sustain quality improvement.
• Serves as a lead in a content specific area based on experience and training
• Initiates and oversees outreach efforts to specific populations
• Serves as a lead within the department and community for education, outreach, and collaboration to support departmental goals.
• Mentors and precepts new staff on community education, program model, and patient first interaction
• Develops, organizes, and implements programs that provide education, outreach, and collaboration aimed at individuals and organization culture change.
• Coordinates and leads with manager support all aspects associated with assigned projects as needed.
• Demonstrates commitment to team flexibility, professionalism, and critical thinking.

Skills & Requirements

• A master's degree in health education, Public Health, or Health Communication will substitute for 2 years of experience
• CHES or MCHES from National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) preferred
• Required 5 years' experience in corporate wellness, health promotion, health education, chronic condition management, or weight/nutritional counseling with preferred 2 years' experience in health analytics
• Presentation skills highly preferred
• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
• Required bachelor's degree in health Promotion, Public Health, Health communication, Nutrition, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychotherapy or Counseling with a preferred master's degree in health Promotion, Public Health, Health communication, Nutrition, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Psychotherapy or Counseling
