In 2022, Edward Jones invested $ 1 billion in technology infrastructure, digital initiatives, and virtual business enablement tools. We're currently in the test and learn phase and are looking for talented, motivated professionals, that want to be part of this transformational journey. Cloud-based architecture and modern technical capabilities will enable us to grow our impact while providing the best client experience possible.
The Senior Product Owner for Corporate Systems covers a broad spectrum, providing thought leadership, people leadership and an ability to execute. Our corporate services areas, including support for Community/Managing Partner's Office as well as Enterprise Workplace Services (Facilities, Real Estate, Physical Security, Business Continuity) require a level of capability builds and technology upkeep that has a backlog of work well beyond what the current support structure can handle.
The role will require five primary areas of focus as the product matures:
  • Working with peers across the broader DPM organization to create an inclusive environment for our associates
  • Stakeholder relationship building and management to achieve valuable business results
  • Enabling teams to deliver on prioritized firm and stakeholder epics for 2023 and beyond
  • Building a high performing team in an effective and paced manner given macro conditions
  • Maturing a delivery model, based on the Scaled Agile Framework, within a matrixed organization

What you'll do...
  • This role will serve as the primary product leader, developing deep subject matter expertise within the Corporate Services space.
  • This people leader role will work with other firm leaders to attract, develop and drive a team of high performing associates, and will play a pivotal role in their ongoing personal and professional development.
  • This individual will additionally advise and align with adjacent product teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive progression of the department strategy.
  • Reporting to the Portfolio Owner, this role will focus on developing an internal product team consisting of one or more product owners and business systems analysts to own all aspects of the firm's Corporate Services systems and support of the people who use them.
  • Success in this role requires depth and breadth of subject matter expertise inside and outside of Corporate Services, as well as a foundational understanding of Product Management and Design Thinking theory, and the ability to expand these capabilities within the organization.
  • This work includes management of system plans and supporting artifacts encompassing resource needs, stakeholder solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and success criteria as necessary to deliver on the promised business value.
  • Responsibilities will include identifying business opportunities and directing team activities to achieve desired outcomes by gathering requirements, designing workflows, coordinating development, and implementing finalized solutions.
  • This person will lead their product team though direct leadership of functional associates as well as indirect influence and task assignment authority for matrixed resources, mentoring and developing all team members to fulfill the product vision.
  • Working with key stakeholders and business partners, the role will help create the vision for how our key corporate functions will help digitally enable our growing and transforming firm, achieved through the development and maintenance of their product roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.
  • The Senior Digital Product Owner, Corporate Systems will drive daily activities for a group of dedicated professionals focusing on technology systems supporting delivery of the Firm's key business functions supporting corporate services.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:

Skills/Requirements
What you'll need...
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or related field
  • Willingness to obtain licenses/certifications requisite for the position
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience within processes and technology supporting corporate services activities
