TheSenior Development Manager - Grantsis responsible for researching potential funders and identifying grant opportunities that align with WHRF programs, services and new initiatives.This position crafts compelling, clear and accurate written materials for grant proposals and reports in keeping with funder guidelines and deadlines as applicable.

This position reports to the Executive Director and collaborates closely with the Administration, Board and Camp Programs to identify opportunities. The Senior Development Manager - Grants will manage the annual grants strategy and submissions for the organization. Position has a pathway to Director of Development with proven performance.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify private, family, community and corporate foundations/grants, that have funding interests consistent with WHRF mission and objectives. Determine best fit to funder guidelines.
  • Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
  • Seek creative ways to demonstrate impact to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting consistent with grant maker requirements. Log task reminders in time to advise Program colleagues of deliverables and assess progress on outcomes.
  • Serve as proofreader and editor when needed.
  • Write and submit proposals per month within required deadlines for application. Manage workload and scheduling of grant submissions to take advantage of open/close of funder cycles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to aid accuracy and content development of grant apps/reports.
  • Research and review of prior giving and new funding opportunities. Maintain annual grants planning calendar and continually research new good fit opportunities.
  • Maintain grant opportunities in CRM system to aid revenue forecasting and workflow management. Record completed proposals and support documentation in CRM system.
