In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership and mentoring for entry level and second-level specialists at multiple locations for the purpose of completing work assignments in a Service Desk environment.
  • Responsible for providing a high level of oversight and performance of moderate to complex customer support, troubleshooting activities, project work and training for various Information Technology (IT) services.

• Interacts with customers, IT personnel, IT and Business management in the process of providing IT support as well as Project Support. • Ensure work assignments are scheduled and performed within service level agreements.

  • This role requires creating and maintaining high quality, timely and consistent experiences to customers, peers, IT personnel across multiple departments and management. Touch points can include (but is not limited to): In-Person, Email, chat and phone correspondence, Web-based support tools/applications/portals, Support documentation/content, Virtual demos/training sessions, In-person meetings/events/trainings
  • Responsible for making sure our customers receive helpful service and timely responses to Information Technology (IT) support requests and questions that are escalated when resolution requires an increased IT skill set.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • At least five or more years of practical analysis and/or implementation experience in at least one IT technical discipline possibly including hardware/software support, telecommunications, data communications, conference room technology or computer networking, preferably in a Service Desk environment.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Bachelors Degree in a computer-related field, or two additional years of direct work experience in a moderate to highly complex IT customer support or Service Desk environment may substitute for required degree.
  • Reliable and internally driven team-player. Effective at driving short-term actions that are consistent with long-term goals. Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal/presentation).
  • Demonstrated competency with hardware and software troubleshooting, customer support, project support and group/ vendor interaction to resolve technical IT issues pertaining to end user systems FMT2023
  • Ability to focus on high-quality work while under pressure. Independent problem-solving skills and self-direction. Ability to react quickly and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • US Citizenship needed to obtain and maintain US Department of Energy "Q" level of security clearance. WE VALUE:
