Job Description
This is a role for a rock-star communicator with an ownership mentality looking for an opportunity to uplevel their experience, work with some of the best and brightest, and provide tangible impact, within a company on the cutting edge of their industry, invested in your growth.


The IT Associate will serve as the primary point of contact for all internal or external technology-related requests. You will be responsible for ensuring all customer support needs are resolved in a complete, correct, and timely manner through direct action or engagement of the correct internal or external resources. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying areas where internal staff members are struggling and should be available to train new and more junior staff on a regular basis. In addition to handling escalations, you will have the opportunity to assist with advising clients who have contracted McChrystal Group’s Implementation Services and influence the development of McChrystal Group’s internal IT (Information Technology) and Security processes and standards.


Our ideal IT Associate will have 3+ years of prior experience as support staff for a small- to medium-sized business. This is a full-time, in-person position located in Alexandria, VA.


Responsibilities


  • Serve as a brand ambassador in all customer service interactions, communicating effectively within the organization and with clients in both verbal and written formats 
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the Internal Innovations team, the Enterprise Solutions team and broader MG (McChrystal Group) team
  • Scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges, debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points (Cisco, Polycom)
  • Setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment (displays, microphones, sound boards etc.)
  • Pursue continual professional development to stay ahead of trends to define and uphold best-in-class internal standards  
  • Develop and maintain process documentation
  • Technical administration of virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom, Webex, MS Teams and Go-To-Meeting
  • Collaborate with our Managed Services and Implementation Services vendors
  • Provide on-site and remote Windows and Mac PC desktop support for end users, including client teams, with a focus on delivering an outstanding customer experience
  • Administer and implement cybersecurity awareness platform and conduct required annual training. 
  • Respond to client and corporate emails with exceptional attention to detail, within an established timeframe 
  • Adhere to standard procedures for troubleshooting and triage of all client and staff technical needs 
Technical Background


  • Web hosting, DNS, and SSL certificates
  • An Ideal Candidate will also have knowledge of or experience with managing:
  • The position requires extensive experience working with:
  • Managed antivirus solutions including Defender for Endpoint
  • Amazon Web Services Experience
  • Configuration, deployment, and support of network routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls
  • Intune device management for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices
  • Microsoft Office apps – Basic use, installation via app policies in Intune, and troubleshooting (including Project and Visio)
  • Microsoft365 Administration
  • Virtualization Technologies (Hyper-V and VMWare)
  • Enterprise backup solutions
  • TCP/IP network design and troubleshooting
  • Device autopilot and manual deployment support, and troubleshooting
  • Exchange Online management
  • Azure Active Directory administration, specifically Entra Identity and Access Management
Preferred Education or Certifications


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information Systems, or other related disciplines 
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, VMware, MS-500, SC300, MS-700, MS-740
