Solidworks Design Engineer Jobs

Create and manage design from product definition to released product with minimal external input

Define layout rule definitions and align them to manufacturing capabilities

10+ years of board level design experience

10+ years of experience in PCB design using Altium or Pads

5+ years of SolidWorks experience

Experience reading part specifications and determining footprint compatibility with PCB fabrication processes

Partner with Project Management and the Fabrication Shop on specific projects.

3+ years of experience with Inventor or Solidworks.

Proficient communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Produce detailed and accurate drawings for museum interiors.

Attend pre-production meetings, review client drawings and draft production drawings based on client needs.

Perform drawing maintenance as required including updates, revisions and documentation.

Previous experience in mechanical drafting, manufacturing or other related fields

Experience with GD&T (understanding of tolerancing on blueprints)

Associates Degree in CAD Drafting is desired (Bachelor’s is ok too).

SolidWorks: 2-3 years (Required) Candidate will do 3D molding 80% - 100% of the time

Materials – Steel, Metals, Stainless, etc.. – heavier metals and machined parts (weldments is a plus)

Familiarity with larger part assemblies

Experience with configuration management as it applies to engineering documentation

Mid-Level (5-10 years’ experience) with SolidWorks. Experience with Pro-E/CREO and NX desirable.

Experience with component design from the detail level through complete complex assemblies

Hands-on experience using finite element analysis for system/component design

Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) is highly preferred.

Generating CAD solid, meshed, facet models, and extracting and analyzing mass properties from solid models.
