Responsible for daily customer service, park office administration, league and program management and coordinating all seasonal facility usage agreements, tournament and event agreements. Coordinates and serves as onsite tournament or event liaison between facility and contracted tournament/event director. This position directly reports to the Recreation Facility Manager.
Performs daily administrative operational functions in support of managerial staff. Including assisting in the development, organization and oversight of Parks and Recreation programs, as well as promotional and marketing materials for programs and events as identified by Recreation Facility Manager.
Coordinate with park management all program planning, and coordinate on-site program supervision which may include: league play, tournaments and special events. Ensure that all program model assignments are being completed and timelines met.
Readies and maintains facilities for use during operational hours. Ensures park facilities and buildings are clean, safe and ready for scheduled programs and activities which may include: recreation programs, sports leagues, facility rentals, tournaments, community meetings, and special programs/events. Assist with maintenance operations when necessary for rentals, tournaments or events.
Acts as liaison to all tournament directors and their site directors before and during tournaments and events. Ensures an excellent participant experience for players and staff. Coordinates functions of staff, maintenance, contractors, and volunteers.
Assists with onboarding and ongoing training of recreation staff.
Provides assistance to the public regarding park information, rules, policies, procedures activities and enforces rules during programs, facility rentals, leagues, tournaments and events.
Submits appropriate maintenance and technology work orders, incident reports and quarterly inventories. Collect fees and maintains records of monies received. Processes reservations, enrollments and payments via the automated software program.
Assist park management with accounts receivable collections.
Assists with the scheduling and invoicing verification of contracted staff.
Reviews and responds to customer concerns. Resolves conflicts between park patrons regarding county programs and facility usage.
Provides information and data to supervisor and operational/maintenance staff regarding park usage, issues, incidents, programs and safety concerns relevant to park operations.
Other duties as assigned
In the event of an emergency, all employees are considered essential personnel and may be required to perform alternate duties.
Associate’s Degree and one year relevant experience in a customer service or park and recreation setting. Bachelor’s Degree is desired.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and in the usage of/maintaining of database systems. Prior usage of facility scheduling software preferred.
Strong desire to excel in the public park setting with entry level organizational skills in planning and execution of programs and activities desired.
Excellent communication and customer service skills along with demonstrated competency in computer usage. Ability to organize and maintain filing systems of facility contracts/park user information.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as requested.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to bend, lift, stoop, carry, push/pull, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to assist with facility operational setups.
Assist with ground trash pick-up and emptying trash cans as needed.
Excellent communication and customer service skills Must possess and maintain valid Florida Driver’s License.
All employees must attend Seminole County Required Trainings. Department Specific trainings per position may be required.
