Specialist, Store Animation


About The Job


CHANEL is looking for a designer to join our Store Animation & Experience Design Team within the US Artistic Direction Department in New York. You will play a leading role in the design and adaptation of events and visual merchandising for CHANEL Fragrance & Beauty Points of Sale (POS). This role interfaces with Global Artistic Direction, US Marketing, and Procurement teams to ensure our campaigns come to life across a wide range of touchpoints: multi-brand retail stores, stand-alone boutiques as well as pop-up events. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of design or architecture and a deep passion for visual communication, branding, retail, fashion, beauty and art.

What You Will Bring To The Team...


  • 3D design development skills – create accurate CAD models and clear renderings of new concepts
  • Strong communication & organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Conduct shop visits with procurement teams to oversee the production process
  • Strong ideation skills – hand sketching, mood boarding, brainstorming, etc.
  • Review shop drawings and samples from vendors in partnership with procurement teams
  • Presentation skills – build decks and update based on feedback
  • High attention to detail
  • Facilitate production by creating technical drawings, specifications and guidelines for vendors


Position Logistics:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design or related field with 3 – 5 years of experience the field of design or architecture
  • Confidence & proven experience with design software; Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, V-Ray, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to stores locally as well as throughout the US (at most 1-2 days per month)
  • NYC Based - Hybrid Schedule | 9 West 57th Street Office

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,700 through $90,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits, and perks.
