Overview: Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) is a leading professional sports company, with a collection of assets that includes: the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Rangers (NHL); two development league teams – the Westchester Knicks (NBAGL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL); and an esports team - Knicks Gaming, an NBA 2K League franchise. Role Summary: The Editor will be responsible for editing short form, long form, and branded content for all MSG Sports properties (Knicks, Rangers, Knicks City Dancers, Westchester Knicks, Knicks Gaming and more). The Editor will also be responsible for “finishing” all of MSG Sports video content including color correction and sound mixing. This position specializes in story telling, color correction, sound mixing, graphics and other skills needed to give our content that final polish. You’re a positive-energy creative who can produce quality content end-to-end with minimal oversight. You’re knowledgeable about all tv/digital mediums across various platforms and be able to create multimedia content accordingly. Specific Functions/Activities Summary:

• Sound mixing audio from various sources and eras
• Color correcting video from various sources and eras
• Laying in final graphics
• Take over the final “picture locked” edits from our other editors for the final polish and delivery based on the specs needed for a particular video
• Green screen compositing
• Edit footage captured by MSG Sports shooters as well as outside sources to create industry best video content for social media, website, app, MSG Network and more

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable about various cameras, equipment, shooting and editing styles and techniques
• Strong experience with sound mixing and color correction
• General understanding of social media platforms, specifically Instagram, Twitter and TikTok
• Understanding and knowledge of basketball and hockey preferred but not required
• Candidate should be nimble and calm under pressure
• 3+ years of experience required, with creative agency/production company preferred/post production house
• Motion Graphics capabilities a plus
• Should have a keen eye for detail and an understanding of music and popular culture
• MUST have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends, holidays and off-hour shifts when needed.
• Must be able to manage fast paced workload and meet tight deadline
• Demonstrated experience with postproduction and graphics software, including Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects and Davinci Resolve
